What this MLBB tier list is (and isn't)
This is a live, telemetry-driven Mobile Legends tier list computed from Mythical Glory+ match data, not a veteran-player opinion poll. The ranking formula weights win rate (35%), pick rate (25%), ban rate (25%), and cross-rank consistency (15%). Z-score normalisation across the full hero roster prevents a single dominant stat from distorting the ranks, and the results refresh roughly every 5 minutes against the current MLBB patch.
That telemetry lens matters because most MLBB tier lists you find on YouTube or TikTok are either an individual pro's hot take from one bracket, or a stat aggregator that ignores ban rate entirely. A hero with a 53% win rate and a 45% ban rate is functionally stronger than one sitting at 56% with a 2% ban rate. The first is being banned out of games because enemies fear her, the second is a niche counter-pick that slips under the radar. Our composite MetaScore captures both dimensions in a single rank.
How to actually use this tier list at your rank
Mythical Glory and Mythic Honor players should treat S+ and S tiers as the baseline. These heroes have the mechanical ceiling to punish late-game teamfight errors, which is where most games are decided in top brackets. Ling, Fanny, Yin, and other high-skill assassins will sit in S+ during patches where the meta rewards solo carries, and drop a full tier when tanks and sustain comps dominate.
If you're in Epic or Legend, the S+ tier is actually a trap. Execution heroes like Ling require hundreds of matches of muscle memory to perform anywhere near their theoretical win rate. At Epic, picking Ling usually means throwing the game before the 8-minute mark. A better read for Epic-rank climbers: look at the S-tier and top of A-tier for heroes with forgiving kits and high damage floors. Yve, Valentina, Masha, and Esmeralda all have the kind of "press-buttons-and-something-useful-happens" design that translates into actual rank-up win streaks in lower brackets.
For Grandmaster players trying to hit Legend, the practical meta is almost entirely determined by the top of B-tier: reliable tanks (Tigreal, Atlas, Khufra) and sustain marksmen (Karrie, Wanwan at high skill, Bruno for safety). Skip the gimmick picks until your ranked MMR is stable above the rank you're chasing.
What changed since the last MLBB patch
Moonton pushes patch notes every ~2 weeks on the Advanced Server and every ~3 weeks on the Live Server. When a new patch lands, the tier list above updates automatically within the next refresh cycle. If you're reading this during a patch-day window, expect the top five to shift over the following 24-48 hours as win rates stabilise against the new numbers.
The S-tier assassin cluster is the single most volatile pocket of the tier list. A 2% damage nerf to a mobile burst hero can drop their win rate 1.5 percentage points, which is enough to push them from S+ to A. Read any individual hero's position in context of the patch they're in, not as a permanent fact.
Which MLBB heroes to buy Diamonds for first
If you're planning to top up Mobile Legends Diamonds to unlock heroes for the current meta, the high-leverage order is: (1) one reliable S-tier from your main role, (2) a B-tier counter-pick to the current S+ dominant hero, (3) a sustain-oriented tank if you don't already own Tigreal or Atlas. Avoid spending Diamonds on a third assassin "for fun" until you've locked in at least two reliable draft options in your primary role. The alternative is perpetually spending Diamonds on the patch's winning hero and never building a real champion pool.
Epic and Legendary skins do not affect win rate in a statistically meaningful way, so if your Diamond budget is tight, spend on heroes first, Starlight second, skins last. The monthly Starlight pass is genuinely the best value conversion of SGD to in-game progression: a single month of Starlight gives you roughly 10 Starlight-exclusive skins over a year plus enough Magic Dust to buy 1-2 Epic skins outright.
