Honor of Kings March 2026 Meta Snapshot

The March 2026 patch has reshaped the Honor of Kings meta in meaningful ways. Several heroes who dominated the start of the year have been brought in line, while a handful of previously overlooked picks have surged into viability. Whether you're grinding ranked or preparing for competitive play, this tier list covers the strongest heroes for every role in the current patch.

This tier list assumes ranked play at Diamond and above. At lower ranks, mechanical execution matters less than game sense, so some of these rankings may not apply if you're still climbing through Gold or Platinum.

Clash Lane (Solo Lane)

S-Tier

  • Liang: The premier Clash Lane pick this patch. His sustain through passive lifesteal makes him nearly impossible to force out of lane, and his ultimate provides fight-changing crowd control. He wins most 1v1 matchups and scales well into the late game.
  • Yang Jian: A versatile warrior who excels in extended trades. His transformation ultimate gives him a second health bar effectively, and his kit punishes opponents who commit to fights they can't finish quickly.

A-Tier

  • Lu Bu: The classic duelist remains strong. His true damage on enhanced attacks and healing from his ultimate make him a fearsome split-pusher who demands attention.
  • Charlotte: Mobile and bursty, Charlotte thrives against squishy compositions. Her dash-and-slash playstyle makes her difficult to pin down, though she struggles against tanky opponents who can weather her combo.
  • Musashi: His wind mechanics reward skilled play with excellent wave clear and dueling potential. Not as straightforward as other picks but highly rewarding once mastered.

B-Tier

  • Arthur: Reliable but unspectacular. Arthur does everything adequately but nothing exceptionally. He's the safe pick when you don't know what the enemy will draft.
  • Ata: Strong early laning but falls off in teamfights. His kit is best suited for aggressive early leads that translate into objective control.

Farm Lane (Duo Lane / ADC)

S-Tier

  • Hou Yi: His ricochet arrows provide exceptional teamfight damage, bouncing between clustered enemies. The sun ultimate zones enemies effectively and his range gives him safe positioning in most fights.
  • Marco Polo: The mobile marksman remains dominant. His dashing-while-shooting playstyle is uniquely hard to deal with, and his ultimate shreds through both tanks and squishies.

A-Tier

  • Gongsun Li: Extremely high skill ceiling. Her umbrella hop resets give her unmatched mobility among marksmen, and a skilled Gongsun Li can dodge virtually anything while maintaining damage output.
  • Di Renjie: His cleanse mechanic on the second skill makes him the safest marksman in the game. Against crowd-control-heavy compositions, Di Renjie is practically a must-pick.
  • Luban No. 7: The turret-placing marksman excels at zone control and objective defense. His damage output is massive if left unchecked, though his lack of mobility makes him vulnerable to flanks.

B-Tier

  • Huang Zhong: His stationary ultimate makes him a sitting duck against mobile assassins, but in the right team composition with good peeling support, his damage output is among the highest in the game.

Mid Lane

S-Tier

  • Shangguan Wan'er: The most mechanically demanding mage in the game, and the most rewarding. Her brush-stroke combos can delete entire teams, and her mobility makes her nearly impossible to lock down in skilled hands.
  • Xi Shi: The queen of crowd control. Her linking ability, which tethers her to an enemy and shares crowd control effects, is one of the most disruptive abilities in the game. Combined with her sleep ultimate, she controls the pace of every fight she enters.

A-Tier

  • Angela: Her attachment ultimate lets her support a teammate globally while providing shields and damage amplification. She's been growing in mid-lane priority as the meta shifts toward enabling carry players.
  • Daji: Point-and-click burst that punishes poor positioning. Daji won't outplay a skilled opponent in a mechanical duel, but her raw burst damage and catch potential make her a reliable mid-lane pick.
  • Ying Zheng: His wall-penetrating attacks make him uniquely powerful in siege situations. He can pressure enemies behind towers and contribute to fights without ever being in danger.

B-Tier

  • Xiao Qiao: Her fan-based damage is solid but predictable. She works best as a counter-pick against immobile compositions rather than a blind pick.
  • Zhuang Zhou: Better as a support than a mid-laner this patch, but his passive cleanse and fish ultimate still provide value in the right matchups.

Roam (Support / Tank)

S-Tier

  • Guiguzi: The invisibility-granting roamer is the ultimate playmaker. His ability to sneak his entire team into position for a fight ambush is unmatched, and his ultimate provides a massive slow field that controls teamfight spacing.
  • Donghuang Taiyi: His suppression ultimate is one of the few abilities in the game that completely locks down a target with no counterplay other than positioning. Against compositions that rely on a single carry, he's devastating.

A-Tier

  • Zhang Fei: The screaming warrior provides both peel and engage. His ultimate knockback can disrupt entire teams, and his passive shield generation keeps his lane partner healthy through trades.
  • Yao: The newest roamer on this list, Yao brings healing and damage amplification that enables aggressive playstyles. His skill floor is low, making him an excellent pick for support players who want to impact the game without flashy mechanics.
  • Sun Bin: Speed buffs, time manipulation, and an ultimate that accelerates an entire team. Sun Bin doesn't have the engage tools of other roamers, but his utility is immense in rotation-heavy strategies.

B-Tier

  • Liu Chan: The panda's engage is strong but telegraphed. Good players will dodge or interrupt his ultimate, making him unreliable at higher ranks.

Jungle

S-Tier

  • Zhao Yun: The ultimate all-around jungler. His dash-and-poke playstyle provides early-game pressure while his ultimate offers massive teamfight impact. He's been a top-tier jungler for multiple patches and the March update hasn't changed that.
  • Han Xin: The wall-dashing assassin thrives on chaos. His ability to enter and exit fights from unexpected angles makes him nearly impossible to peel against, and his burst combo deletes squishies before they can react.

A-Tier

  • Li Bai: The sword saint rewards patient players who wait for the right moment to engage. His untargetability during his ultimate makes him a low-risk assassin, but his damage windows are narrow.
  • Pei: A newer addition to the jungler pool, Pei's combo-based kit provides explosive burst damage. His skill ceiling is high, but players who master his ability chains can delete any target in the game.
  • 司马懿 (Sima Yi): The stealth assassin who thrives in the fog of war. His ability to teleport behind enemy lines through brush connections makes him a constant threat that forces enemies to play cautiously.

B-Tier

  • Ake (Ah Ke): High burst but extremely fragile. She needs to snowball early or she becomes a non-factor. A feast-or-famine jungler that's risky to blind pick.

Heroes That Rose This Patch

  • Xi Shi: Received a meaningful buff to her linking range, making her far more effective at catching mobile targets.
  • Yao: Healing numbers were increased, pushing him from a niche pick to a staple roamer.
  • Liang: A minor sustain buff compounded with itemization changes to make him the dominant Clash Lane pick.

Heroes That Fell This Patch

  • Mulan: Nerfed damage on her ranged form made her less oppressive in lane, dropping her from S-tier to a borderline A/B-tier pick.
  • Mai Shiranui: The burst nerf to her fan combo reduced her one-shot potential significantly. Still playable, but no longer the mid-lane assassin she was.

Beginner-Friendly Picks

If you're new to Honor of Kings, these heroes offer strong performance without demanding mechanical mastery:

  • Arthur (Clash Lane): Simple kit, tanky, forgiving.
  • Di Renjie (Farm Lane): Built-in cleanse keeps you alive through mistakes.
  • Daji (Mid Lane): Point-and-click burst, straightforward combos.
  • Zhang Fei (Roam): Clear role identity: protect your carry, engage when you can.
  • Zhao Yun (Jungle): Versatile kit with high mobility and good damage at all stages.
